Hey people,
Does anyone know which section(s) of the Americans with Disabilities Act discusses Peri-transit regulations?
Thanks,
Becky
Text of the ADA is here. See "Sec. 12143. Paratransit as a complement to fixed route service. [Section 223]"

Ah, thank you! That's very helpful.
What are you trying to accomplish?
I'm working on organizing a protest against Memphis Paratransit. The number of problems with their system is astounding. They're constantly late, which sometimes results in people getting stuck in dangerous parts of town for extended periods of time; the drivers use their cell phones while on the road; the buses break down all the time and have supposedly not been inspected enough; the wheelchair lifts are dangerously faulty... I could go on, but those are the most dangerous of the problems. A few people have tried to do something about it over the years, but to little avail. However, I think that if all who are interested present a united front and generate enough attention to the matter, we will get something accomplished. I need the ADA info so that we can cite exactly what laws they're breaking.
